Application: CybrexNexus Backup

Purpose and users

This is a private, single-user utility operated by its owner for backing up that owner’s Windmill instance. It is not offered to the public.

Google Drive access

The application uses rclone and Google’s OAuth authorization to upload backup files to the owner’s Google Drive. The configured Google Drive permission is drive.file, which rclone uses to work with files it creates or that the user opens with the application. The owner can revoke the application’s access through their Google Account settings.

Backup contents and encryption

The Windmill database and deployment archives are encrypted on the owner’s server before upload. Google Drive receives those encrypted files, plus an unencrypted checksum manifest, upload-verification marker, and backup-destination identity file CYBREX_BACKUP_ROOT.json. File names, sizes, and timestamps are also visible to Google Drive. The decryption key is held separately by the owner and is not uploaded by this backup process.

Information handled

To perform an upload, rclone uses an OAuth access token and refresh token for the owner’s Google account. These credentials are stored in the owner’s private rclone configuration on the owner’s server. The application does not operate a separate account service or collect information from other users.

Sharing, advertising, and analytics

This private utility has no advertising or analytics service and does not provide backup files to other users. The owner’s use of Google Drive remains subject to Google’s own terms and privacy information.
